delvaux is a belgian fine leather goods establishment much like vuitton and goyard but est. in 1829, has been around for much longer and unlike them, still fairly exclusive.
i love this ligne 1829 newspaper bag. i love the construction and of course that dessert brown, but even more, i love the functional newspaper sleeve!
these days leather goods saturate the luxury market, but few design houses have the credibility, house traditions and craftsmanship to really distinguish themselves. delvaux is certainly one of those brands.

naeem khan’s spring ‘11 collection was such a disappointment. based on his previous collections, i was expecting knock-out evening wear, exceptional beading, dramatic yet body conscious silhouettes, and cocktail pieces that would leave any woman with a pulse clamoring. what i saw was a very luke-warm collection with a lack of sophistication and a heatherette-esque color pallette. the collection was undoubtedly designed for a very real woman. however, it came at the cost of a cohesion that was certainly lost between bollywood and bohemia. the styling and hair was equally unimpressive - the hair, downright monstrous. i am all about the 70s revival but naeem, lets keep it current.
pictured above is certainly my favorite piece from the collection. the print is stunning!! click the image to see the rest.
